The Mystique of Mars

The Mystique of Mars
Mars, fourth planet orbiting the sun, was once a harbinger of hostility and aggression. Aptly named after Roman god of war, with sister Earth, it shares the same star.
Red, resplendent orb gracing the night sky, like a whirling dervish, it artfully dances by. Two moons captured in a strong gravitational grip, Phobos and Deimos tag along on a wild cosmic trip.
From ancient times clouded in a veil of mystery, we've tried to delve into its origins and history. Is it home to an unfriendly alien race? Or is it just a cold, devoid of life, kind of place?
While much about Mars is yet unknown, perhaps, future generations will call it home.

I have always felt we have been on Mars and that we were the first Marsians? Perhaps we colonized Earth aye? I wonder which 'marble we destroyed before Mars?' Light & Love

Hi Debbie, you have posed some very thought-provoking questions? :-) I have watched enough "Ancient Aliens" shows to be sufficiently intrigued! Thanks for visiting - I always enjoy hearing from you, my poet friend! Have a great weekend! Pandita.

Have you seen anything about the Reality Show that was trying to get people together for a one-way, televised trip to Mars? I guess the competition included accommodation. Douglas Adams suggested that the Earth was populated by hairdressers, and checkout staff, well how about populating Mars with Reality TV contestants??? OMG.

Tehehehehe - yes, I have seen the show and it was quite interesting to say the least! I guess we have a lot to look forward to where interplanetary travel is concerned. NASA and other agencies will not lack guinea pigs:-) Thanks for stopping by Scott and have a wonderful weekend! Pandita
