In my mind the incessant rumbling churns A thunderous rolling resounding roar And in my heart a craving burns and yearns longing to regain peace and drift ashore where a native drum beats every blue spirit meets the muttering retreats whisper intense scent of incense fragile defense All hinges on a couple dreadful turns Leaving shattered conquered fears at death's door Safeguarding treasured hallowed selfie treats precious silence Submitted on May 28, 2018 for contest THE PUZZLE OF MY RHYME sponsored by BROKEN WINGS - RANKED 6TH
