THE MOUSE WITH A HAT
“Hey,” said the cat to the mouse with a hat,
“I should like a hat like that.”
“Well tough,” said the mouse, “they are just for mice.
I’m afraid they don’t make them in your sice.”
“Oh drat, said the cat, “just wouldn’t you know it.
(And, by the way, you’re a lousy poet.)”
“I know,” said the mouse, “and I don’t give a hoot.”
And off he ran, with the cat in pursuit.
If you’d been there you’d have found it quite merry.
Just like a scene from Tom and Jerry.
