The Morning Mist

The morning mist caressed my flesh
Ever so gently and warm and fresh
I lay in the meadow awaiting the sun
To wake me and warm me so I can have fun
The Larks and the Jays all singing so sweet
Playful tunes to the ear and daylight to greet
And my lover beside me hairy legs over mine
Is still sleeping deeply oblivious to time
The cattle are calling to their young to gather
Time to rise with the sun eat and grow fatter
And the sheep and the lambs are doing the same
Rise up Gods' creatures we must eat before the game
And my lover beside me hairy legs over mine
Is still sleeping deeply oblivious to time.
And the warmth from the sun in the morning light
Warmed and dried me completely from the moons' misty night
What a wondrous place this meadow of mine
So peaceful and magical time after time.

Had I have known you were sick, I would have written you a poem about chicken soup or something, maybe ice cream. Peace my friend:):)

So will mine. Cats sleep 18 hours a day. It's amazing. I have five. They should be called lounge lizards. Lol. Thank you Tim

Kelli, it was all dreamy until I got to the hairy legs part, yuk, and then realized it was a cat, delightful, and I am loving this 7 ~
