The Morning After the Night
So, this is the morning after the night,
That successfully proceeded the day,
That had been spent making love the right way,
Learning exactly how love is made right.
The night, after the day full of the sight
Of millions of rose petals that lay
Across the bed, where they were meant to stay,
Until being introduced to the light.
The right set of gifts can never go wrong;
A chocolate kiss, a rose, and a rhyme.
Simple gestures show that this love is strong,
Since ignoring this love would be a crime.
So, yesterday, all day and all night long,
The two of us had a very good time.
