The Morning After
The sky has gone from black to grey
The time has gone from night to day
I look at you in the bed you lay
Oh, how I wish I could just stay
The scent of your cologne still lingers on my skin
I anxiously await to feel your embrace again
You are a maker of the memories that I hold dear
Your soft whispers, “I love you”, I sincerely revere
My heart is my fortress
Only you hold the key
Oh, how I cherish the moments
When you are laying next to me
