The Moonlit Night

Oh! What a gleaming sight
Its the moonlit night
Stars have hushed away
There is calm in every way
Only the moon is in sight
Throwing its beautiful light!

Tonight!I wish I were a fairy
Flickering away into the night
In the midst of the calm sky
So much faraway I would fly
The moonlight is a delight
So calm and so bright!

Mankind is plunged into sleep
The night awakes from the deep
Wishes are waiting to be fulfilled
Angels roam the skies joyfully
Man is gifted boons --
Everlasting blessings
Happiness and long lasting friendships!

This is beautiful. I feel that I am right there sharing the moonlight. Keep writing. Sara
