The Moon

It seems a deceit of the light, in the day the Queen of the night, she sits as in a dream untrue, drowning slowly in the blue. Gently moves toward the east to sip where sun has gorged its feast, her deep black robe with shining gems divested out of her true realm. Now lost within the azure skies with pale lit face she naked flies to rob the sun and give day flight, open the doorway into night.

Very descriptive; I liked the rhyming couplets, however "shining gems" doesn't really flow with "realm," but I really was able to picture The Moon as a celestial being flying through the night sky.

Hi Ethan, thanks for reading and commenting. Will have a think about gems and realm which I accepted as near rhyme but possibly not near enough.
