The Monster

There is a monster hindering my every desire A monster that restrains me By placing chains upon my hands and doubt in my heart A horrid creature is he Flled with anger and of pain Wanting only to destroy my hopes Pointing out every mistake I make There is no escaping this monster For I see him everywhere I go He is the worst monster of all Hiding where only I can see Laughing at every step I take Destroy him I wish I could The monster I hate is me
