The Money Thingy

Ole Ollie 'twas told to look and find fun in it. Irv's lot was just to get at least a bit of it. Well Big Bill, y'all know says he saw some of it. Fast Freddie famously he had a run of it. While Dizzy Don never really got done with it. But lucky me, I got only the best of it. Some are born into it. Others go right through it.

A creative write. Money is just paper and metal. It is what we do with it, good or bad that counts. Have a blessed day writing away............

Your poem provides food for thought, Greg. For those who work hard for their money it can be a blessing in disguise...they will always know what it takes to make sacrifices and what satisfaction feels like. Those who make money their god will never truly enjoy it. ~ Regards // paul

Money is funny, it brings out the best and worst in us. The toughest thing though is to know when you've got enough. My hunch is you've got a good sense of this.

So true Greg! Money in itself is not good or bad. The way we use it determines how it affects our hearts and the lives of others! It is not wrong to ask for blessings. But we are responsible for the choices we make about using money. And we can make a difference with a nickel or millions of nickels. Congratulations on your win. Like Gary said, your poems always leave me thinking!

I really enjoyed your fun poem Greg. It made me think (All your poems make me think) :) My own thoughts on money were clouded at a young age as I believed "money is the root of all evil." It didn't make sense to me. Later I learnt that the actual phrase is: "the LOVE of money is the root of all evil." :- Now that did make sense. Cheers - Gary

Creative work. I have know a number of families that one generation worked really hard to acquire wealth and when it is turned over to the children they do go through it but in other families they do not do that. Neither of our parents had very much but they left us a little and no debt to pay off but they gave us so much more than money. I don't know if I have done as well with my children or not. I hope I have instilled in them some good Christian principles. Thanks for your visit to my page.

If you want to feel rich, simply count the things you have that money cannot buy. This is a fun read, Greg.

Appreciate your stopping by, always do. Just a bit of bladerdash sprinkled with a touch of truth. Not all the truth, just a touch. Have fun dear bard.
