The Moment You Are Gone

You are the beautiful joy, For my hungering heart. When you step into my life, A happy love embarks. You cross my mind daily, So much, that I don’t tire. For I wish I could kiss, Those pretty lips I desire. But when you look at me, I freeze up right then. And when you leave the room, My mind wanders again. You bring light into my life, When you step in, you’re my dawn. Then my heart saddens and dims, The moment you are gone.
