The sitter embraces a dangerous passion to patron a portrait in devious fashion Where art and artist reflect a triangle of love Inducing her lover’s jealous action consisting of A nude portrait in full length she the muse and a self-portrait of the artist embracing ruse In alla prima to bring a true love to her arms A token evoking his most envying of charms Finishing the devious piece in the mirror The pain in artist's heart could not be clearer The wet canvas looking back like lot’s wife Frozen, blood dripping from the impasto knife The ruse, muse and reflections caught in deception’s shame She cry’s hysterically as her lover takes the sole blame
