The Mirror
She was altruistic and kindhearted through purity,
confidence was found devoid of major insecurity.
She knew not of ill-will nor of selfish greed,
always met her daughter’s every begging need.
It was axiomatic that she was raised righteous and fair,
wore such long chestnut and auburn soft hair.
Beauty was her middle name, though she saw imperfection,
and with God she had a rare bond and connection.
She showed devoted acceptance and asseveration,
and her loving husband fed her muse’s inspiration.
She needed not material items nor heavy wealth,
and didn’t always have proper wellness nor health.
Who is this woman I know who shows no fear?
She’s the wonderful wife and mother I see in the mirror.
