The Meaning of Life
Like playing on the field
Hopes and dreams, dramas
Lived out – in breathless moments,
Silence creating intriguing promises,
This is life – like the show, theater
Performances, the series that assures
I’ll come back for more – life’s roar,
The aching of a heart who longs for paradise,
Heavenly shores, where there is more…
Love, like the key to inspiring
Hope, like the crucial in truth
Faith, like the answer in prayer
Breathless promises pour from my veins,
Opened by light, broken apart
By the sweetness of a sign sent from One
Who answers my prayers, advises
My dreams and promises me to listen
Reminding me to simply believe –
He is the wonder of every peace
He is the sweetness of every grace
He is the light that reflects all praise
I am His child and He is my life – without Him,
There would be no joy, no hope, no peace
Without Him, my best friend, there would be
Pain without end – darkness that can’t be drowned,
A feeling of loss that would never be able to silence
The doubts, the grief, the never ending chaos
That comes from doubting the One who is God’s only Son!
He is mine and I am His
So very thankful for His gift of grace – His forever embrace!
