The Meaning of Christmas

Christmas is sacred to Christians,
A time to thank God for His gift
Of promise, love, and joy, blessed with
Our Saviour Jesus Christ’s presence.

And forgive us for our transgressions;
By searching our hearts, may He sift.
Christmas is sacred to Christians,
A time to thank God for His gift.

In remorse, prayers of petition
Ask God through Christ to heal the rift
And release us from Satan’s grip
With pardon to enter heaven.
Christmas is sacred to Christians,
A time to thank God for His gift.
