The Masquerade

The masquerade… Behold the masquerade, where everyone can buy sell or trade, We wear the mask to stand out, to impress, But the real you underneath, lets not address, The laughing is surreal, the alliances false, We hurt, feel rejected and dance the fear waltz, It takes true courage to remove the veil, To be yourself inspite of being frail. But we may be surprised, when we remove the mask and peek that the others at the masquerade find our real face so unique.
