The Man In the Mirror

his reflection shows
crow's feet and sad, worried eyes
the unguarded twin
he turns away in alarm
refusing to face this man

Mirrors cannot hide what is there in front of them.... they can, however, reflect the truth of what they see....Nice writing, Tim. Congratulations..... Jake

Such insightful honesty in this poem, so many can relate to your observation...(we women feel the same way!) I still believe we can be beautiful on the inside regardless of the calendar! :) (I see you from what is inside you.....and that is compliment!)

rarely are we given a glimpse into a man's reaction to the mirror...vulnerability shows strength of character....(see soupmail please)

Yes Tim, the angst of age comes too soon. Where did the time go and why didn't I use it more wisely? Your verse hits a sensitive chord and includes me in its sad truth. Lover, Lizzie
