THE MAN I WANT TO BE
Is godly: All who come in contact with him will know that he is a God-fearing Christian; who
Exercises self-control and discipline: Continuously striving to resist sinful carnal desires; who is
Teachable: Continuously seeking God’s wisdom, understanding, instruction and knowledge; is
Growing continuously in fear, faith, trust, obedience and humility towards God and the things of God; who
Walks in truth and not by feelings; who
Takes personal responsibility for thoughts and actions, and who
Confesses right away when he falls short and sins, and then immediately
Asks God for forgiveness, and who right away
Forgives others who trespass against him; who frequently
Examines his heart under the light of God’s Word to detect and correct self-deceptive and self-serving motives; who
Keeps his promises and honors his commitments, even if they subsequently become inconvenient; who
Pays his obligations on time and in full, is a debtor to no man; and who for all eternity
Endeavors to know God and seeks an ever-deepening personal relationship with Him. This is
The man I want to be
