The Magic of Miss Winter

Miss Winter is here to spread her magic
on my world that's far from homely,
With her pure touch, she removes all tragic
traces of the chilling lonely.

As I walk on the frozen bridge, hiding
my tears, I sense her soft caress,
She takes my hands, and I go snow-sliding
down behind her crystal white dress.

She bathes me in snowdrops from head to toe,
then helps me build my first snowman,
Super-cool, she brings out my inner glow,
together we make n-ice bright plans.

She leads me to her world of frosty charm,
like a mother leads her daughter,
Miss Winter's magic love has made me warm,
now, I'm filled with joy and laughter.

I love the personalization, the awesome imagery, and the way this poem moved me Jo. I agree with Andrea and CayCay, this needs to be on the winner's list. : ) 7

I do believe that I believe what Andrea said is straight on true, this beauty is a winner. A lovely, charming and fully poetic poem that delighted me as a reader and a writer. What I cannot believe is that I have not read more of you before (maybe yes?, but don't recall). I am very impressed with this awesome poem ... CayCay

Winter's spell can even change cold to warmth, Jo! That's how it feels when, through your words, 'she' senses that you are like a daughter to her! ~ Regards // paul
