The Maestro

I was born a Maestro
A master and a masterpiece
Because before I learned
How to crawl
How to walk
How to talk
Before I sent an email
I learned how to write
And then
I composed, created, and christened
Over 1000 poems
Over 100 stories
Over 10 essays
Pen in hand I guide these words
I give them form and flow
It's fabulously fantastically fascinating
How words can be put together
And sometimes I love the fun
Of stringing them together
Into a silly little poem
Because even a Maestro
Can't be serious forever
I was born a Maestro
A master and a masterpiece
But to be honest
I never learned form
I never learned meter
I never learned deeper meaning
But I did learn how to have fun
And I'm the Maestro of Fun
The king of rhythm and flow
And soon the world will know my name
From lame to chasing fame
I am the Maestro
