The Mad Woman

We sat side by side for many almost twenty years
Sharing a million laughs and a bucket of tears

Helping each other through the long work day
Caring for patients, working together along the way

Intuition told me we'd be friends from the start
The experience of years revealed her loving heart

Now we've each taken a different life track
But I know that she'll always have my back

When life is hard all I have to do is place a call
Marsha will be there to catch me if I should fall

At times we were pretty crazy I must admit
I called her MAD woman, it just seemed to fit

I feel so blessed to still have her in my life
Sharing the past and the future, our joys and strife..

Marsha sounds like a wonderful friend, dear LNC. I have a New Hampshire friend Barbara who "always has my back" and she has caught me falling many times. Got stood up twice this past weekend, but I'm over it. We'll talk soon about the ranch vacation. It'll be a blast! Love, Carolyn
