The Locked Garden
The garden’s rainbow blooms beyond the skies,
skies which soon greets the eagle as he flies.
Flies high above the beauty of the earth,
earth and heaven experienced since birth.
Birth and praise rise high to the trumpets sound.
Sound divine as rose pedals on the ground,
ground revels in laughter spread to the field.
Field of dreams outlasting shadows of doubt,
doubt which cannot convince our hope to fade,
fade from bright shades of color into night.
Night always casts a few short hours lost,
lost in oneself is much too high a cost.
The locked garden opens its heart to dance,
dance exuberantly in kind romance.
