Peace and Love! We used to say Us children of the Golden Bay We said it and believed it too The flower power we held onto Love beads, sunshine Ocean breeze Beneath the eucalyptus trees But peace cannot prevail when one must defend it's homeland and love for freedom when attacked brutally. My prayer is that the likes of evil dictators who would destroy peace, the embodiment of evil themselves would cease. God, please bless the Ukrainian people. Deliver them & the world from the wicked. No flower power can ever prevail with love against such hatred and murderous evil. No power on earth can stop the wickedness unless Heaven intercedes by the power of the Living God. Intercede Lord I pray. Amen. "3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 King James Version

BJ: It is frightening how mankind never learns. The 2nd World War was supposed to be the War to end all Wars. How quickly we forget. I pray for Peace everyday, Very heartfelt writing.SuZ

This link to the Byrds 'Turn, Turn, Turn' song. It blessed me so much, made me cry, but blessed me anyway. <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKP4cfU28vM

I just love the nostalgia 'by the Bay' -- tempered with the harsh realism of today. Excellent, BJ! Write on! ~ Gershon

Thank you, Gershon. It was one of my first attempts to write for quite some time, I've felt so incredibly sick over the horror. I miss the innocence of childhood, I really believed there would be peace someday. I am so shaken by the evil that is taking place, I somehow thought the powers that be were strong enough to stand up to devilish bullies like that....I cannot force my hand to type the name. Thank you for visiting my poems, and for your comments, I appreciate so much! ~BJ

Yes, amen Joseph. <3 Thank you. I'm glad I'm not alone in this prayer, I know that most of the free world joins in passionate prayer for these precious people. ~BJ

Beautifully said BJ. The verse from The Bible was a very important touch along with your fervent prayer. Love it. God Bless, JB

I know Rico, that beautiful but naive belief we once had, that when we grew up there would be love, peace and no more war...childhood fantasy. I have been so beyond blue concerning the Ukraine that I couldn't write unless it were tears for ink. I decided to try to pick up my pen again, and I'm afraid it reflects my mood. Thank you for visiting and commenting. <3 ~BJ
