a soft caress is like beauty
dancing so close to you and me
the lightest touch i embrace
stars always floating through space
as silk feels upon the skin
elegant and smooth again
a soft caress is like beauty
dancing so close to you and me

grace will allow lovers to sway
a melody of breaths that stay
wrapped in paradise with you
escape in those eyes so true
capture and pull me under
you are a touch of wonder
grace will allow lovers to sway

on the dance floor emotions glide
longing to linger at your side
and move as an angel fair
dreaming you will hold me there
your touch is so light and free
as my love for you will be

Form of Poetry- Octelle
The syllable count structure for this verse is 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, and the rhyme scheme is aa/bb/cc/aa. The first two lines and the last two lines are identical.

Oh, this is wonderful, and such a great topic ... I have not tried this form, but you have presented it with passion and delightful imagery! I was a dance escort many years ago, getting paid for something I loved and would have done anyway - great times, (and I fell in love with a ballerina, who haunts me still). This is going into my favs, and I am picky with those). Blessings! :-) <3
