Notes About The Poem

Sometimes there's a need to lighten up in the midst of madness. This poem is like a Jewish 'Mash-Unit's' reaction to the rise of antisemitism currently enve-loping the world. And perhaps only an Orthodox Chassidic Jew like me can get away with it. Perhaps...

The Lighter Side of Antisemitism

For those who want to ‘kill all the Jews’
        Here’s some food for thought

Get a rabbi to extend Passover one more week
You’ll love what will have been wrought

For another week of ‘matzo only’
        Jews’ stomachs will do somersaults

And that way it won’t be antisemitism’s fault
~ that our bowel functions came to a halt

Good one Gershon. Never thought of it like that. Good you have a sense of humor about this evil.
