The Light of Men
The Light of Men
My surroundings began to be swallowed up by shadows.
The doors of hell began to close.
In this cold abyss I slowly grow.
I did not choose this but I was chose.
My thorns grew each the size of a rose.
The storms knew what I now know.
That after the rain comes the rainbows.
After all the pain, the flame glows.
Then burns slow.
But I know not of tomorrow.
Only today's sorrows.
Covered by a blanket of snow,
and kissed by the wind when it blows.
The Life inside tells me to open my eyes.
Wiping away my tears from my silent cries.
I look and behold my Savior, Jesus Christ.
