The Light
Inside my mind where sorrow lies, misery follows, depression binds.
Blackness has deepened the wounds in my soul, unleashing memories of things untold.
Cutting so sharply, the past wide awake, longing for mercy, feeling such pain.
Unanswered riddles rattle inside, clatters so loudly, begging for quiet.
The road so narrow the path unmarked, lost in the fortress people call life.
Hope nonexsistant, cheer is at bay, how long will it take to all go away.
Feeling so helpless, fearful and cold, crying for something to have and to hold.
Lonely and lost the war of my time, the battle of reason raging inside.
Lost is the child alone in the night, left in darkness to find the light.
