The Light

I hear you crying out for me
As I reach through this wall of light
I hear you screaming that you need me
But this force I just can't fight

I hear your whimpers fading away
As I try to break free from this blinding light
I feel your presence moving away
As the blinding light takes my sight

I now hear only silence in the distance
As I break through this light of pain
I now feel only tears on my face and hands
As I stand beside you in the pouring rain

I kneel down beside you behind the light
But feel only wetness dripping from you
I scream at the light begging for my sight
As I wake in a cold sweat clinging to you
