The Light

The bells begin to sound
When angels sing the song
While humankind harmonise,
As our ships move out of
The stormy waters and
We go towards the light.

The light has come down
From the sky and how
Glorious it is to behold,
The true light that
Never burns out or fades.

The light that comes down
To dwell among the exiled
Offspring of Adam and Eve,
This light like nothing
This earth could comprehend
We love this light,
We unconsciously long
For the light’s embrace,
We desire the warmth
Of this illumination,
True light.
