The Lie

Such a little thing
Strung between two hearts
Concealed in silence
 
That which is unknown cannot hurt
Not both at least
Just one heart stricken

It will not stay silent
It will be heard  
Then two hearts broken

Scars heal
But never disappear
They just conceal the wound

I love how you personified the lie in the 3rd verse "it will not stay silent". so true. and i love your ending - a great description of scars. they really do become a part of us.
