The Last Squeeze of Dad's Hand

This is a heart touching moment of sad farewell To my dear old dad at too younge an age He was sixty-seven, I was a younge eighteen Last moment we touched, he squeezed my hand I fought back my tears as best I could It was no use, last moment we touched, I cried It was the last breath of my dad's heart!

your poem left me teary-eyed. Your tender words touched my heart, reminding me of my own dad's passing. I didn't get to hold his hand, though, when his heart took its last beat. His heart remains in mine, though. He was a kind soul. Thanks for this, Jack. I appreciate your thoughtful tenderness. Am faving this one. enjoy your evening, Sara

It was a precious moment and one that I've never foregotten... I'm still sitting there beside him. Sad to hear about your dad and the kind soul that he was! Love from me to you! xxx
