The Last of You and Me
Death is when you pass on, because you have lived it all
Believing you did all you could, in such little time we’re given
Though soon your years came to a stop
like a cherry blossom tree loosing all of the delicate pink buds
You told me we’d always be together, even if I had to leap onto a fleeting cloud
Every time a star falls into my hands, they whisper a message from you
Or the few letters that I find floating in the ocean
Then all the memories flood back into my mind
And I realized it was only me, in the word us
