The last day

I wrote a letter to
Say goodbye
Put on my Sunday best
And did my eyes
Walked outside
And took my medication
Then I walked around
Until my body was too heavy to hold
So I lay flat on my back
In the purple flowers
And as my body fades away
I think maybe next time I’ll last longer and be stronger
And be better fit for this world
But for now it’s goodbye
And I’m ok with that
I tried my best and it wasn’t good enough
