Surrounded by friends I never met I suffocate In the vortex of my own distress Desires unfulfilled Memories burned... and broken quill The last page of the book, empty As am I

There is a beginning to every end..So that last empty chapter might as well be your first to fulfill, with those desires yet unfulfilled, and new memories made.Deep poem.We ve all been there in that hollow place ..sometimes Surrounded by many yet feeling all alone..but its not a forever feeling...Have a sunny warm day

Oh I felt the torment within this dim write! It's a very well-thought out poem, and so awesomely crafted that I am in awe of its incredible splendor! You poem is so distressing, and I can feel the hurt and pain especially at the end! I enjoyed this darker poem, something I would enjoy to write! Great Work Arthur!

Great job depicting despair, Arthur. Strong images. I hope it's a fictional write and not a reflection of how you feel.
