Funny limerick, constructive critisism, the flow is an important part of a limerick, it's easier to read if lines 1, 2 & 5 have matching syllable count, the same applies to lines 3 & 4, when the lines get too long, you loose the freshness. try "Who remarked" at the start of the last line, do you see what I mean ?

I considered that and the original fourth line was "young fool" to shorten the syllable count but I decided that I wanted to use certain words like "only crime" and "pupil" and count be damned. Now that isn't to say I haven't been rereading it and trying to figure out how to chop a few here and there but as of right now I'm happy with it. But thanks for the reply, check it out in a week or so and there will probably be changes.
