The Land of Liberty

Dust fell upon my face;
A soft touch from the sandman
Light faded away with the night's lace,
The sun knelt with a last, weak scan

Stars embroidered the sky,
Leaves of sheets fell upon the clouds
The cold pervaded through the crowd
Stillness stood by

A delicate texture touched my hair
As it pulled me into its arms
The texture of the warm pillow's charm
Fighting it I wouldn't dare

Gently, my eyelashes touched,
Peacefuly, they hugged
Slowly, my eyes closed
As I drifted into a land untouched

Silence knocked on my door
Displaying scenes I have never seen
Flashes of light showed on the screen
One single touch would allow me to explore

Shall I dare and touch to enter and explore this land?
Can I handle anything I shall face?
Fear crept into my courageous brace
Yet, the sword of excitement was strongly held in my hand

I shall dare and enter this land
I shall dare and dream
For it is a land with a unique gleam
It is a land where spirits shall be freed

Dream is a reflection of what some feel
It is a cure where some wounds are healed
But, it be a monster awaiting to be released
To scare its passenger; awaking them with a squeal

Now the courageous shall supreme
For who dares and enters possesses a brave heart
Tearing every speck of fear apart
Ruling the land of dreams....

And so the land of liberty
Dares every creature
To enter its surprising features
Observing those who shall face their hidden destiny....
