The Knight With No Name

The giant droog Dragon, enveloped in flames
the Castle protecting the knight With No Name
from the gates of Pelligor, the knight had set forth,
To the very walls of Hades, he set his course,
the fairy princess, had given him a quest,
To kill the droog dragon, in his very own nest.

He travelled by day and all through the night,
Traversed the dark forests were the goblins had right,
Crossed the valley of death avoiding the trolls,
And killed the giant gatekeeper in charge of the tolls.

The dragon was protected by hells chosen vassal,
The knight new no fear, he charged out of the castle
Whatever happened now, the bold Knight knew,
His honour and courage would see him through.

And so it was recorded, in the ancient lays,
Which told of golden, halcyon days,
Where chivalry and honour, triumphed,
Where Knights on horse, could overcome,
The mightiest Dragons, in any kingdom.

The Dragon fought well, it was mighty and strong,
The fire it spewed forth, was a hundred yards long,
But the Knight with no name, brushed it aside,
And pushed his sword to the hilt, into the Dragon’s side.

Roaring in agony, the giant beast fled,
But Trying to fly, to the ground it crashed, dead.
The anonymous knight, with easy nonchalance,
Walked past the Dragon, not looking back once.

The roars from the castle, of joy and amaze,
He acknowledged with a single solitary wave.
And mounting his horse, with a jingling of spurs,
The Droog Dragon dead, and no longer a curse.
