The Kiss of Dew

our love is like the taste of sweet apple juice
the smell of fresh red roses on a spring morning
the warmth of a sweet memory of our first kiss
the kiss of dew on white carnation,

we are the music of the sunset
and every color of the rainbow

we are the wind that is invisible to man
the glow of candlelight in a dark room
  the calmness after the storm
the sound of laughter, echoing from a crowd

we are the joy of a precious gift
  the poetry of today
the love of a child, deep in thought

we are what makes true love stand
we are one with two heartbeats intertwined
