The King's Wife Like the Moon

The drum sound pronounced,
A wish the King announced,

The King is to marry soon,
A wife like the moon,

But not cool and calm,
Not fair and charm,

Nor round or white,

But to come in the night,
And to disappear in the morning light!

Sadly, I think it's what the majority of men want from a wife. I like your poem.
