Based on Elvis song: "In the Ghetto"

Listen to poem:
Born on a cold day with the moon shining on him at night, crying as a newborn child he saw the light. In a ghetto he screamed for the first time. He was raised happy as he could be without other chances, but fighting. Knowing nothing else, he learned that he was the best. He grew up strong, after being hit one day after the other, engaged with a guitar as his best friend. He had been successful rolling down to Mississippi with love for the whole world. Going up to Memphis you can be haunted by his voice. Going back to Memphis, you will be returned to sender, the king will open the mail box

Thank for taking me back to Memphis on that fateful day ... the day the King of Rock and Roll passed on in Memphis. I was working about four blocks from Graceland when he passed. The streets were so packed and barricaded that it took me over 4 hours to drive the 5 miles to my home. What a passionate voice he shared with this world. Thanks for sharing the memories with us. Bill

I loved Elvis songs and films but strangely I never heard this song, so hauntingly beautiful. But then we miss many beautiful occurrences in life. A poem to remember.

Hello my friend Christina. Well, it s not as good as I really wanted to do it, but those were the words on my mind at that thime. Elvis deserves a better poem. He was a poem himself. Thank you my lovely Christina. You sound such a great person to me. Have a great eveningxxxx

It was either Memphis or Nashville the faces of the musical south. But the best came out of Musle Scholes.
