The Key
They say it starts in childhood some even say the womb
Like a scene from Elm Streets Nightmare or some dark unearthly tomb
The tide of time can turn on you when you swim against the flow
Or the Labyrinth of Life can lead us where we want to go
Let’s unveil the hidden meanings let’s reveal your inner child
The Tapestry of life perceived in truth can drive you wild
It’s so tightly spun together it may part at any time
And the only logic saving you lies screaming in your mind
Try a touch of meditation, or a book does it for me
Let’s take a peek inside your head let’s see what we can see
A learned minds opinion is the topic of the toast
But for me we laugh the loudest when we tend to hurt the most
The madness that surrounds us is most times hard to fathom
The Universal truths revealed are hidden in each atom
For beyond each new horizon we’re guided by Gods hand
In the quantum physicality within each grain of sand
I’ve watched you paint a picture of who you choose to be
The ink remains undried on all the copies you gave me
The palette’s within reach of your cold fingers like a ghost
And I hear you laughing loudest when you tend to hurt the most
We overwhelm our conscious thought subliminally ostracize
We struggle with the answers and so often over analyse
Simplicity’s the key to life go find your hidden doorway
Spare the time for your own thoughts and learn to do it your way
It’s good to talk you hear them say but they tend to twist each word
Our secrets are our own we feel ‘til we free them like a bird
For dreams to fly they need both wings untethered from their post
And I long to hear you laugh so loud and no longer hurt the most
