The Journey Never Stopped

Walking on the graveyard of defeated souls With an unforgiving limp of a broken heart There was no light or warmth, only the cold Was this to be my home, nothing left of my own. Just an empty vessel drifting in blank space No longer on a predestined journey of glory Now just a part of the barren scenery Like a calcified statue that once lived Seasons passed, their temperatures never felt Numb to all, the saddest was not feeling the cold With a deathly stare pretending to still care The search went on for what wasn't even there Softly, a familiar flame flickered on the horizon In short bursts calling out the forgotten name Luring the cursed away from all the blame Giving the strength to step onto the stage In their final act, the demons of the past wailed Before loving again, their sacrifice had to be made Whoever said it comes once never paid the price To be reborn again, undress the darkness we wear The gates of dreams opened and the shivers returned What once demons turned into their playground Now became a garden of flowers beaming with colors In her honor, reflecting all the joy her eyes shone
