The Inevitable

The inevitable is about to happen
 Slowly creeping toward me
   I can feel it
  Reality making way
Parting to let the poison in
Which fills the room like toxic gas
   Choking, filling me
In this room I can not breathe

I've run
  I've gotten away before
I went as far as my feet would take me
I don't know any other solution
I won't let it poison me again
His attitude, thoughts, words
Overpower mine, until they become my own
So I wait, fists clenched and breath held
  And I bleed
