The Incarnadine Enigma

The priceless, blood- red ruby
ring has mysteriously
vanished from Lady
Kensington's locked glass
display at the grand estate.
Detective Cross must
decipher the labyrinthine
clues left behind by the
elusive thief before time runs
out. The pursuit of the
glittering corundum jewel
leads him into a serpentine
labyrinth of secrets.

The crimson heirloom sat
unguarded,
A breathless theft had been
recorded,
The velvet room felt cold and
hollow,
Which twisted path were we
to follow?
The midnight shadow slunk
with cunning,
While through the fog the fox
was running.
A baffling riddle left in pieces,
As phantom- like the threat
increases.
The missing spark of carmine
wonder,
Left London's finest in a
blunder.
From dusty halls to gilded
ceiling,
No honest word betrayed the
feeling.
We scoured through the
grand conservatory,
To unravel this macabre,
tangled story.
Magnifying glasses focused
sharply,
Examining the dust- filled
hallway darkly.
The culprit's footprint deeply
hollowed.
A winding trail of mischief
followed.
A cryptic note of parchment
paper,
Danced softly by a guttering
taper.
It whispered of the stone
incarnadine,
A gemstone rare that shone
so brightly fine.
We searched the manor's
dim recesses,
Through heavy, dark, and
brocaded dresses.
But nothing seemed to make
a semblance,
Of bringing truth to our
remembrance.
Detective Criss grew quite
frustrated,
At how the thief had
perpetrated.
The missing red and fiery
jewel,
Remained a puzzle harsh and
cruel.
But then he spotted on the
flooring,
A scuffle that was most
alarming.
A fragment of a shattered
bottle,
Beside a hidden iron throttle.
He traced the clues across
the garden,
Where nature's vines began
to harden.
And there beneath the
weeping willow,
Concealed within a velvet
pillow,
The ruby gleamed, a scarlet
treasure,
Beyond the wildest, greatest
measure.
The grand enigma reached
its closure,
Revealing a magnificent, bold
exposure.
The thief was caught in
sudden panic,
Their grand illusion quite
titanic.
The mission ruby ring was
taken,
The deepest trust was deeply
shaken.
And justice served its final
verdict,
To keep the town of secrets
perked it.
The glittering prize was soon
recovered,
As soon as all the truth was
hovered.
The mansion settled in the
twilight,
Bathed softly in the evening
skylight.
The mystery was swiftly
ended,
And peace once more in time
ascended.
