The Hunter

Upon first seeing you, I vowed to “make that woman my wife” It just never dawned on me how much that would change my life In the beginning, just being together was all that was needed But it was the little voice in the back of my mind that I should have heeded Looking into your gentle, loving eyes of beautiful blue There was no doubt that your love was true The look of passionate love was rightfully read Though I misjudged what you were indeed calculating in your head That glorious day finally did come when we read the vows that we would each write After reading mine, it was yours that sent me into sheer fright “The hunter has become the hunted and you are now mine And it is now that I do with you as I please until the end of time”
