The Human Smile

Nothing in the world so disarming,
so charming in it's domain.
Across a crowded room or two feet away
it's all the same.
The shortest distance between two people
despite any other claim.
Is for now and will forever be
with no denial the human smile.

Just a shout-out post to all Terry Lee's friends and followers: My Dear sister Terry Lee made 'the Transition' at the end of January 2017. In an effort to preserve her work; I am reviewing all her poems. As I scan through your comments, I discover aspects of Terry I had not been in touch with; and I appreciate your compassionate, kind words; gifts that have facilitated my own comfort. Consciousness is energy we all share which cannot be destroyed. Thanks to all of you. Thom Allen

I'll bet you have a nice one, Terry. 60 years or so ago the girls smiled at me once in a while. "Nothing in the world so disarming." You betcha! Congrats on the selection. daver
