The Horror of Our Love

I don't know what it is,
I love you but I shouldn't, they say.
He's a lunatic, a killer, he's crazy!
He smiles at me and says, "Let's put a smile on their face"
I smile back; I try to stay clean, but to watch them at their last minute...
feels good, he says, and I have to agree. How could you betray us, they question,
I don't say a word. The horror of our love, never so much blood pulled from my veins.
He has my life in the palm of his hand..but he would never close it, he loves me, he whispers.
And I do too.
