Chalice Rhyme,
A thirteen line poem with a specific amount of words in each line, going from ten words to one word…creating a picture of a cup or Chalice.
The rhyme scheme is: aabbccxxxedde (x=no rhyme). Here is an example to follow plus the tricky middle portion with no rhyme and only one word for four lines.
Line 1) As an example, this poem will begin with (10) ten words.
The light in the darkness; my bright beacon of hope.
My safe refuge and shelter, where I can cope.
Oh Father, Most High, I offer You praise!
I give you my heart, all of my days.
And You say, “ Abide in Me.”
So I abide in Thee.
Father
Creator
Master
Friend
I love Thee!
Love, Me…
Amen.
