Notes About The Poem

I was telling my 12 year old grandson who likes to bowl, that one time I bowled a 301. He said "That's impossible the highest score you can get in bowling is a 300"  So we made a friendly wager for the last chocolate chip cookie that I could prove to him how I did it...of course I won, but he persuaded me to give him half of the last cookie (lol)

The Highest Bowling Game Ever 301

I once bowled a three hundred and one
Someone told me that couldn't be done
I said, "I've done it before...
When I had bowled my high score...
I had bowled a three hundred...and WON"

Charlie, I'm a day late and a dollar short in responding to this one. I recently bowled a 299 and have been feverishly attempting to bowl that perfect 300. I got close twice with a 279 and a 289. It's amazing at the high scores one can achieve bowling on Wii. lol. Congrats on another great one from the great one!

Great use of the pun for "one" and "won"! Clever and funny limerick, Charles. Enjoyed very much. I may drive to NJ this summer for a family wedding. I hear you had a very mild winter. Hugs, carolyn

Hi Richard, I also love to bowl. In fact, I am on a bowling league with my friends. I am not the best bowler by far. But I do enjoy the fun nights out :) Thank you my friend. Wishing you well. Charlie

A fun read--I can see how it works especially playing with a 12 year old.
