The Hiding Sun

As the sun hides behind thick clouds
The roosters try to crow it out
But that sun is not very proud
As the sun hides behind thick clouds
The Doves coo a love song aloud
Try to coax it without a doubt
As the sun hides behind gray clouds
The roosters try to crow it out

Very nice poem, Sara! I think there is a metaphor hidden in these lines...."Sometimes people try to bring out the best in us, even when we don't want them to"....that is what this poem says to me. Also, thank you for reading my autumn poem, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
